## How it works, and what it sends

- It reads the text you have selected, or the whole visible page text if nothing is selected (first 12,000 characters).

- It opens firstpassmemo.com/checker/ with that text after the # in the address. Browsers never send the part after # to a server, and the checker removes it from the address bar once loaded.

- The checker then runs in your browser as usual. Nothing is stored or sent.

- Select just the listing's description and financials for the cleanest result.

## FAQ

### Does the bookmarklet work on every site?

On most. A few sites block bookmarklets; in that case copy the listing text and paste it into the checker.

### Is it safe?

The code is the button link itself: it reads page text and opens a new tab. It loads no external script.
