Browser extension
See red flags on the listing page itself
The FirstPass Memo extension reads the listing you are looking at on Flippa, Empire Flippers or Acquire.com and shows a small panel: payback in months, the asking multiple against comparable listings, and every red flag that fired, each with the question to send the seller.
Download the extension (.zip, 21 KB)
Install (Chrome, Edge, Brave, Arc)
- Download the zip above and unzip it into a folder.
- Open
chrome://extensionsand switch on Developer mode (top right). - Click Load unpacked and choose the unzipped folder.
- Open any listing. The panel appears bottom right; click its header to fold it away.
A Chrome Web Store version is planned; until then the unpacked install above takes about a minute.
Privacy
- It runs the same open rules as the web checker (rules.json) inside your browser.
- No network requests, no analytics, no storage, no permissions beyond reading the three marketplace sites. The code is plain, unminified JavaScript in the zip: read it before you install.
- Links in the panel open firstpassmemo.com only when you click them.
What it cannot do
It only reads what the page shows. If the price or profit is hidden (classified listings, signed-NDA data), it says so and points you to the checker, where you can type the numbers yourself. Flags are prompts for questions, not findings.
Want a person to look at a specific listing? A first-pass memo is $79, paid after delivery.
