Second opinion: check the listing you are looking at in one click
Short answer: drag the button below to your bookmarks bar. On any business-for-sale listing, select the description and financials, then click it: the free checker opens in a new tab with the listing's address and your selected text, and runs. Nothing is installed and nothing is scraped.
FirstPass second opinion ← drag this to your bookmarks bar (clicking it here does nothing useful)
How to use it
- Open a listing (Flippa, Empire Flippers, Acquire.com, a broker page).
- Select the listing text you want checked: the description, asking price, profit, revenue and age.
- Click FirstPass second opinion in your bookmarks bar. The checker opens with the listing address shown at the top and runs on your selection.
- Nothing selected? The checker opens with the address and asks you to paste the listing text.
What it reads, and what it does not
- It reads only the page address (without any query string, which can hold session data) and the text you selected. It never reads the rest of the page, cookies or anything behind a login.
- Both travel after the
#in the checker's address. Browsers never send that part to a server, and the checker clears it once loaded. - The checker does not open or fetch the listing link. It runs on your text, in your browser.
- Want the older version that sends the whole visible page when nothing is selected? It is on the bookmarklet page.
Questions about the bookmarklet
Does the second-opinion bookmarklet send the listing page to FirstPass Memo?
No. The address and your selected text go after the # in the checker's address, which browsers do not send to servers. The check runs in your browser.
Does it work on logged-in pages?
It reads only what you select yourself. It does not read pages for you, and we ask you not to paste confidential data-room material into any public tool.
