Free seller pre-check: see what a buyer's first pass will flag, before you list

Short answer: send us your name and email and we reply with the red flags a buyer's first pass would raise on your listing and the facts that would answer each one. It is free, there is no payment step, and nothing is published.

Free: the 37 red flags buyers miss, emailed to you, each with the question to send the seller, plus the 72-hour vetting plan and deal tracker.

One email with your links (they also open on the next page). No newsletter.

What you get

What you do not get: a valuation, a price recommendation, listing copywriting, or any promise that the listing will sell. We do not take money from sellers or brokers, and we never hide or soften a flag.

Request a pre-check

We use your email only to reply about this pre-check. See privacy.

Prefer to do it yourself now? The self-serve pre-check runs the same rules in your browser.

Optional "Pre-checked" line for your listing

If you have reviewed our flags and answered them in your listing, you may add this line. It says what happened and no more:

Pre-checked by FirstPass Memo: the seller has reviewed the first-pass red flags on this listing and answered them below. This is not a certification, audit or verification of the business.

Short badge text, for places with little room:

Pre-checked by FirstPass Memo · seller reviewed the red flags · not a certification

What the badge means: the seller ran the first-pass check and reviewed its flags. What it does not mean: FirstPass Memo has not verified the figures, audited the business, or endorsed the listing or its price. Please do not reword it into a certification. Buyers should still run their own check.

Questions sellers ask

Is the seller pre-check really free?

Yes. There is no payment step and no upsell to sellers. FirstPass Memo is paid by buyers only.

Does "Pre-checked by FirstPass Memo" mean you certify my business?

No. It means you reviewed the first-pass red flags our rules raise on your listing. We do not verify figures or certify businesses.

Will you publish my listing or my results?

No. A pre-check request is private. We publish teardowns only of listings that are already public on a marketplace.
